On Easter Sunday 2019, the Southeast Asian country of Sri Lanka was rocked by one of the worst attacks on Christians in Asia in recent history. Three of the eight explosions targeted Sri Lankan churches during Easter Sunday worship services—killing nearly 300 people. With at least 450 people wounded and many still unaccounted for, the death toll is likely to continue to rise. Please share your prayer below, including the hashtag #PrayforSriLanka, letting our brothers and sisters see that we are standing with them in this difficult time.
"Please pray for all the people who were affected by this. Many are injured or grieving the loss of loved ones. Pray for strength and comfort and for His healing hand upon them."

At #46 on the World Watch List, Sri Lanka is predominantly Buddhist and ethnic Sinhala (80 percent of the population). The country has a long and violent history for religious and ethnic reasons. Terrorists have used Easter to launch deadly attacks in the past as well. Two of the most brutal killings took place on Palm Sunday 2017 in Egypt (45 killed) and Easter 2017 in Lahore, Pakistan (75 killed).
We are praying for you, may the Lord help you thought this difficult time.

Father, show your children in Sri Lanka that you are with them and have never left them. Pour your love into their hearts and bring peace and healing. Remind them of your care and that Jesus understands suffering. Thank you for saving so many people in that country–please bring your saving power to more and more Sri Lankans through your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name.
Dear Brother & Sister in Christ. Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus. Grieve the loss of your loved ones. I’m praying that the Holy Spirit will wrap you in His love & comfort you. I pray for your protection and healing.
