Attack on Christians in Egypt

A Christian was killed, and two more are fighting for their lives, after an attack by extremists in Alexandria, Egypt, on December 10.

The attack began with a group of extremists surrounding a Coptic priest outside St. Demiana church. According to eyewitnesses, they were using knives the size of swords.

The priest was able to escape in his car, at which point the attackers turned on the nearby shops owned by Coptic Christians. They attacked the Christians there - one man was killed. Others were injured, including two that are now fighting for their lives in the hospital.

Open Doors is currently awaiting more information.

Pray for healing for those Christians who are in the hospital.

Pray for all those affected - comfort for the family of the Christian who was killed and peace for the priest and others who were attacked.

Pray for the attackers: that they will know how much Jesus loves them and they will enter a relationship with him.
