This is one of the wealthiest Gulf states. The local population is outnumbered by foreign workers. Expatriates are able to worship in public and rent space to meet in, and many Christian denominations are recognised by the government. Individuals may bring a Bible into the country for personal use but importing and distributing large quantities is banned. Missionary groups are not allowed to work in the country. Sharing the Good News with Qatari people could mean up to ten years in prison.
