Portrait of David de Vinatea"Every time I receive letters from a foreign land, I thank God. They are like oxygen for us."

Your letters can bring deeply needed encouragement to imprisoned and persecuted Christians, and they provide an impressive witness of God's love to those around the person you write to.

Here are some testimonies of how letter-writing helps:

"The letters and postcards we've received are so numerous and lovely! My little daughter always asks me: 'Why do they write so much to Daddy?'"

"We know there are many people throughout the world who care for us, and this decreases our pain. Your love and encouragement enables us to persevere in our battle to find justice for our loved ones."

"Sadness often seizes me; but reading your letters strengthens me and in the depths of my cell God gives me peace and a joy which I can not explain"

"With God's help and your cards and letters, this situation becomes much more bearable."
